The 6th of December for the opening of Méribel Alpina, we went skiing to test the ski area.

Lots of pleasure !!! There were lots of fresh snow and the slopes were really well prepared.

The 29th of  November we did our first tracks on Méribel Alpina's ski area : lots of snow, fresh snow, well groomed slopes, new Tougnète gondola ... Just a word : pleasure !!!!!!

We went at the top of Tougète 1 with the new gondola and it was really agreable : comfort, space and less noise ...

Lots of snow on the Méribel Alpina's Ski area !!!! More than 75 cm of fresh snow at the middle of La Saulire gondola !!!

The snow canons of Méribel Alpina also product lots of snow to allow you to go skiing on a stable ski area.

The 3rd october of 2008 the first snowflakes were in Méribel. These first snow falls lasted all week and let a beautiful landscape in Méribel. A second snow fall took place the 29th of october 2008.

Again, a third snow fall took place this 12th and 13th of November ... Appreciate these beautiful landscapes that we have discovered this 14th of November.

Méribel Alpina's employees did a very hard work this summer with the helitransport of the new Tougnète gondola. After this helitransport, they did the cable splice three days ago.

But, what is a cable splice ? It is a simple term to indicate the joining between cable extremities.

What is a security line ?

It is a special cable which  links electrically the two stations of the new Tougnete gondola.

Next step : setting up of the gondola cabins.

The setting up of cabins for the new Tougnète gondola took place the 23rd of october.

The technicians put 4 cabins on the new cable to do the last adjustments.
