The Association was founded in 1994 by Christine Janin, doctor and mountaineer (1st French woman on Everest), in order to help children with cancer or leukaemia to recover better through mountain camps and the ascent of “their own Everest”.
Since 1994, 21 hospitals have joined the Association as partners, 191 camps have been organised and more than 2650 children and teenagers have reached their summit. Each year, 15 to 20 camps (wholly funded by the Association) take place for around 250 children and teenagers, aged between 7 to 25 years old.
